Poland’s banking and financial sector
Poland’s market includes commercial and cooperative banks alongside payment and other financial institutions. The Polish Financial Supervision Authority (KNF) supervises banks and several other sectors of the financial market, while the National Bank of Poland carries out central-bank functions.
Bankowy Fundusz Gwarancyjny (BFG) protects eligible deposits in institutions covered by the Polish deposit guarantee scheme. However, branches of banks from other EU countries may be covered by their home-country scheme. The NEXVORO country catalogue currently focuses on published institutions, not individual Polish product listings.
